My Sweet Elenor

by TheDarkCloudBehindthePoet   Nov 22, 2012

He lays in wait, wishing she'd walk through his door,
The fight they had, left her more broken than before,
She cried and said she didn't love him anymore,
As he wept on the floor thinking about his sweet Elenor,
He heard a knock at his door,

"Who is it he said, "It is I Elenor", with her eyes red,
"What do you want?", with a voice of dread,
"I came back to say I WISH YOUR WERE DEAD!",

She storms away in a heap of rage,
Leaving him trapped inside his cage,
Alone and deserted he looks away,
Deliberating whether he should go or stay,

He walks to his bed,
Grabbing a gun filled with lead, and puts it to his head,
With tears down his face, he shoots himself dead,
Blood running down his head, he starts to see red,

Hearing the blast Elenor runs back to his door,
"Stop what you are doing, its you who I adore",
"I'm sorry I said you were an insufferable boar, please no more",
She hears nothing from the other side of the door,
With his last words he whispers and says, "I love you my sweet Elenor",
Curtain closes.
