Reflective waterfall

by The Poet Behind The Poems   Nov 22, 2012

Essence of freshly cut grass
dancing among a soft summer breeze,
birds harmonic melodies evaporate while
the sun crawls towards a welcoming moon.

The flowers gently kiss every colour of the rainbow goodbye,
they disconnect,
raising the black velvet curtain
the moon illuminates an abandoned waterfall,
where the stars reflection forms,
your forgotten portrait.

Your imagery is amazing, very realistic but with an essence of fantasy. Great poem!

The first stanza is fantastic you set such a tranquil scene here,

So much imagery throughout, nice to see a nature poem as detailed as this.

another excellent write from you Tony.

You've painted a pretty picture with your words Tony... I can smell the freshly cut grass and feel that warm breeze on my skin, I see day leaving as night sets in, the waterfall looks so pretty with the moon above it, I can hear the water flowing... yet here in the end I feel sad because of the forgotten one... this is the way a poem should be, causing all these feelings (seeing it, feeling it, smelling it, hearing it) for the reader... I love it Tony... well done!!

Wow, what a beautiful poem! I was so mesmerized from start to finish. I really loved the imagery you created. It was so lovely.

I must say my favorite part was:

"The flowers gently kiss every colour of the rainbow goodbye,"

    Beautiful poem!! Love it <3
