Invisible (Pt. 3)

by Blood of a Lion   Dec 14, 2012

Distance figures,
I watch them.
Earlier than usual, they come.
Quietly they mask themselves.
Standing among the flames of his seedlings,
Seedlings of murder.
A crop of human bodies,
'You found me,'
He says.
'Now are you glad you have?'
With his one strong arm,
He ended a life so,
His face now facing his back.
'You found me,
Now what are you going to do with me?'
He slammed an iron rod down upon a fine luscious skull.
A crack and a lazy groan exited the mouth.
'Do you feel so much safer,
Now that you found me?'
With his hand filled with madness,
He gripped and rendered another life,
Lifeless.
A man driven to madness,
Swung his bat every which way but his.
He gripped the handle,
Pried it from his fingers,
And proceeded to break another fine luscious skull.
'How much better is it for you all,
Now that you have found me?'
'Better... I hope.'

And the darkness came, and a lit cigarette hung in the air, from perched lips and a whisk of smoke formed the curvatures of his face if not for a moment.
For just a moment, he was visible.
His head did turn and look into yonder eyes that gaped with an emptiness.
A boy, no older than five.
'Are you happy you found me now boy?'
He rose, and ended another luscious life with just a simple crack.

I knew you would end up adding a part 3 eventually. :)

First stanza: The people who were searching for him finally found him. He kills them and then is kind of mocking them and is smug and asking if it's better that they found them while he smashes their head in with a bat. Gruesome imagery. I like the addition of "Better...I hope" it adds eeriness.

Second: This has fantastic imagery... the lit cigarette hanging from his lips and the smoke surrounding him, making him visible for a few seconds.

Now, it's really to the disturbing part... he murders a young boy for finding him. :/ Just plain evil.

Overall, I love this and am glad you continued. :)
