Another Day

by Clark Jacobs   Jun 30, 2004

Another day
And my love for still doesn’t go away
Fighting to keep control
Can’t seem to gain back what you stole
Trying to hold on to anything
Can Still feel loves painful sting
Not the same
Still cry when I see your name
Just wish I could take all my problems away
My love for you won’t stray
Even if I stopped my smoking
You’d just think I’m joking
So why bother crying over you
I still don’t know why I care what you do
Because you hurt me
But you don’t care your happy wouldn’t you agree
It doesn’t matter anymore
Because I’m sick of fighting this war
What does it matter making another poem for you
Because you don’t care what my life’s been turned into
You don’t care how I feel
Nothing matters anymore because nothing feels real
Just another wasted poem on you
I’m way overdue
So why even bother
Because today is just another day
