Bang Crash Boom

by Clark Jacobs   Mar 21, 2006

Life
Its cheated another
Cut from the list
Taken from his mother

Bang Crash Boom!
What a costly fault
A family torn to pieces
One more future comes to a halt

Hold on they said
You tried your best
But it wasnt good enough
You put up a fierce fight
But slowly went into arrest

Bang Crash Boom!
And that quick, it was done
A fate sealed for good
Another Father lost his son

So easily taken for granted
Thoughts flash by like lightning
Its not your time you say
But the situation gets intensively frightening

Bang Crash Boom!
Suddenly a nightmare comes true
And for the first time you truly appreciate
Life and everything youve ever been through

Emptiness fills your soul
As everyone around you
Is overcome by such sorrow
Anothers past left to review

Bang Crash Boom!
So much left to do
Of all the people you thought
Why did it have to be you

For Sameer

Hi Clark, I am really in awe by your poetry. It is very clear that the words read are of the heart. My heart goes out to you and your friend along with his family. I'm very sorry for your loss. The emotions during these times are endless but i'm sure he would have wanted you to attempt standing stong once again. I agree with Jenn, what you did for Sameer is a wonderful thing. I know it's been offered many times, but i'm another person that is here for you if you need any thing. I really love this poem.=)

    Clark,

I know I said about a week ago I'd comment, and I'm sorry it took so long for me to do so. Oddly the world is a very connected place. And I know what your going through because I too lost a friend, and a dear one at that. I love this poem, and I love how you are able to say everything that I have yet to comprehend. As I've said before, if you need anything let me know okay? You did a wonderful thing for Sameer. Remember those who leave us are never really gone. Smile at the memories, and know they are watching you and looking out for you
