I Hear

by Monsieur Lefevre   Jan 10, 2013

I hear pages turning,
Pages filled with nothing.
I hear pencil lead,
As they leave their impressions onto the empty paper.
I hear feet and pencils tapping a steady, uncomfortable beat,
As clever minds congregate words together.
I hear erasers moving,
deleting the mistakes that might of have been clever,
not clever enough apparently.
I hear crumbling papers, and disappointing sighs,
Because this task has become a challenge to some.
I hear giggles of satisfaction and relief,
over accomplished works of art.
I hear pages turning,
pages that presented a challenge,
to some.
