Smiling Heart

I am going to bed tonight
with a heart full of smiles
as it bursts with love and happiness.

I never knew a heart could smile.

I never knew happiness could
lift you up this much.

I put my laughter inside a box long ago
and wondered if I would ever hear it's echo again.

That box has opened and the giggles released,
filling the air with contagious joy.

My heart floating through the clouds
as its wings head for the sun.

And in the morning I will wake
with a heart full of smiles
as it bursts with love and happiness.

    This is a good poem. you expressed yourself well . I like the line "I put my laughter inside a box long ago
    and wondered if I would ever hear it's echo again" it says a lot . I prefer dark,sad poems but this is very good.
