In A Moment

by Lance Hardy   Jan 12, 2013

Holding tongue, speak not...at all
Keep gaze but 'pon soft windows, brown
Each weave yet held, slips thru each finger
Feel pressure pound against love's cage
Stopping, starting, skipping, dying
Jumping to and fro, forbidding all pattern
Insanity...nonsense...losing all control
Leave the webbed mind behind
What is this moment?
Where has this confusion stranded?
There is nothing...nothing...
Surrender thus, completely
Open all floodgates...foresee anew
The wind actually flowing
Grass and flowers slowly growing
Each tick, hold moments true
It's here, it's now...for all that is longed
Serenity washing over darkness
Peace holding close and lifting spirits above
SNAP
Shadows surround once more
Sweet shared silence, forever gone
Dearest life within my chest
Forever blackened, sullied...and torn

Wow, you have a way with words, they become more than words on a screen, they pop out and become colors. Great work.

Lance- This was so beautifully worded I felt like I was in Camelot... the elegance sings in that tone of time period... the beauty of the words are so enticing to the reader... very descriptive piece... just lovely!
