Giving In

by Lance Hardy   Mar 1, 2014

I sailed and I sailed
Until I finally caved
Fell beneath each wave
Til I couldn't be saved

I drowned and I drowned
Each breath a final waver
The shell of my existence
Could not take a life-saver

I fell and I fell
Further into the abyss
Never light nor any sound
Neither which did I much miss

I laughed and I laughed
Hell felt so very funny
Waking warm upon the beach
Blinded by all just too sunny
