Your Face When You Cry

by Roses Bleed   Jan 17, 2013

Righteous indignation
Anger- clenched fists.
All of these emotions come out when I see you,
But mostly, I have a wish deep inside.
Thousands of voices scream for me to ignore and throw the punch,
But one small whiper holds me back.
Because there is something I don't want to see.
And that is your face when you cry.

I have seen you vulnerable,
Broken and needing rescue.
I have reached out my hand,
and somewhere in the back of my mind, I think,
I Have Never Done This.
Never sent you grace,
Never gave you a second though except to get mad again.
But when you look at me with the threat of a sob in your voice,
And take my offered limb,
I cannot resist your something.
And that something is your face when you cry.

We have went back to routine,
Old habits, old ways,
But there is a knowledge between us.
Some irrevocable line we have crossed.
An unknown limit we have overstepped.
And it is with that knowledge is,
Is that we once again stand on the precipice together.
We have become something more,
We cannot tease,
Can no longer make fun,
We are past that.
All because of your face when you cry.

Well as much as we dont like him, his charm, love and consideration for others makes up for some of it.

Yeah, well charm (as you so eloquently call it) does not change the fact that he is extremely rude and keeps messing with my neck, especially since he is who he is.... -.-
But I get what you mean -sigh- He's a whirlwind alright....
