Joint-Journey

by Thomas   Jan 28, 2013

Nature made us
so we could find
the piece that we're missing.
To be the sun
in each others eyes
without shrinking
the beautiful retinas.
To be the wind
sweeping across the plain
like a fresh breath of air
to blow of the dust of past.
Like a mutual compass
we are twisting and turning,
looking for the point of happiness
and the path to walk on.
So we can start
our joint-journey
and just keep walking
'till we can no more.
The destiny is obsolete,
only the journey matters
and the fact that I
can take it with you.

Thomas this is soooo adorable...I remember that video you made a while back, so I could hear the sincerity in your voice when reading this which made it all much cooler and enjoyable.

I love the title, joint- journey...Funny thing is, I have read many love poems, but never necessarily came across the word "joint" in them..which made this pretty unique...when I think of joint, I think of "joint account" when a couple becomes married. They become one and so does their money.....The use of joint journey here is just so meaningful...another way of saying you wouldnt let your make walk anything alone...that the journey set before you will always be one you take together...that is so precious.

Love this and love your writing Thomas...Your improving so much as a writer since I first started reading your work.

    Well done.
