Fading into words

by Fading Memory   Feb 6, 2013

My sane being is drowning in the insanity of my longing to the truth ...
and as the stars shine the darkness shades spread over my world
voices of a dying well
a nightmare inside within my hope shell

Simple, to the point, stunning, also very haunting.your poems have a cold quality to them, like a threatened animal,I mean this as no insult, rather as a compliment, your poems create the image of a snake being cornered, feeling angry and frightened, lonely, but using that as a weapon against the enemy (life itself) the only criticism I have, and I hope you see it as constructive, is to check your grammar, perhaps some errors have a purpose to them? But otherwise I love your work :-)

    Short and sweet!
For such a short piece it really conveys so much emotion and power.
I love all the metaphors you have used which really puts some spice into your descriptions.
I can relate to this poem in many ways - the truth is the only thing these days that sets us free and the idea of it not coming through to us drives us crazy.
My favourite part of this poem has to be...

and as the stars shine the darkness shades spread over my world

    ^^
It just really hit me - you have painted this image so clearly in my mind though your words so vivid and deep - I like the oppositional natures of light and dark so powerful!

    Thankyou for sharing such talent!

    5/5 from me :)
