The glitter keeps on coming

by lillie   Feb 22, 2013

One heart, smashed into a thousand piece, turned into dust of red glitter.

He sits upon a rock, crying so much, but he knew he wasn't a quitter.

Her body painted of white, petite and small.
It was two summers ago that for her, he did fall.

He remembered her ocean blue eyes, and blood red lips.
His hazel eyes began to water as his mind took him to memory lane trips.

She was gone, disappeared, forever gone from his world.
He remembered: her golden locks of hair so curled.

In twelve months he visited her twice a year.
Hoping that she would return to him in that spot,
hoping she was somehow near.

He holds the red sparkles of her heart in his necklace made of gold.
Their love story is one that shall never be left untold.
