Saguaro Love

by yogi73   Feb 26, 2013

Blurs of saguaro and red rock desert
And love, our easy circus come to town.
Driven to a Rocky Mountain High,
Arrived the merry-go-round of life
Pulling us into its grasps.
Odds at ends, vision forms a lighted periphery
And a pained cranium
Glory arrives in silver and shine
A bouncing landmass of happiness
Jouncing down the road
An antiquated behemoth
Floating toward expanses
Freedom flows in from sun heated air
It hums comforting smells of
vinyl infused memories
Another epoch lingers
Still starting fires
The irresistible shake your belly
Streams through time
reaching out to
Be part of a happy bygone.
If only it were so simple now
To forget the awfuls and
Groove the times

A saguaro, this is the first time I heard that word but I looked it up and it's a cactus from Mexico, I am not quiet understanding this piece but it's one that I will be reading until I understand it, thank you for sharing.

Thanks for reading and commenting. This poem is about 1974 Cadillac El Dorado convertible. It was from Arizona, but eventually ended up on colorado. A car that definately denotes a place in time :)
