Alone

by Michael D Nalley   Mar 1, 2013

Being alone, it can be a blessing, or curse.
An illusion that often chills the very soul.
Imaging no one in the entire universe
Cares enough to make a lonely person feel whole.
Flesh and blood needs flesh and blood to be satisfied.
A kiss and warm embrace to make us feel complete.
We would bleed willingly while we are crucified.
Consume the bread of life at the alter we eat.
When, holiness, the staff of life dwells in a heart,
Then our sacred idol is not fashioned of stone.
A mind and Spirit can never be far apart.
Those who live in the true light are never alone
Many times when I am alone , I sense I'm free
To rise above the worldly goals, so I can see.
