Postcard from Heaven

It's been eleven years
since the day I left you,
I'm sorry I didn't say
goodbye that day, I
know so much
was left unsaid.
But brother I have
this message for you.

I understand you still feel
pain after all this time.
Your heart will still
be crying tears for me.
But don't be afraid
to cast a smile,
your happiness will
conquer your grief.

I'm the glistening star
you see in the sky,
I will be your light if
you feel lost or misguided.
I saddle the clouds watching
my love cradle you brother.

If you feel torn, read my
postcard from heaven to
know I think of you and
that I'm not so far away.
Any time you want to
talk please feel free.

    Very touching poem, it was more like a message to someone close to you that you love, you did not go in depth of the why's or the details. You merely summed up the point that you miss them and are there for them no matter what.

    I think this poem, although sad, has a slight hint of hope and comfort inside the lines to someone who is missing someone. It shows that the ones we love are always with us and always will be.
