Weapons of Choice

by LostForWords   Mar 7, 2013

Theres lead in my pencil, ink in my pen,
paint on the brush when an idea reveals
itself into my head.

A library of books, a gallery of art, my
love for the renaissance greats will
never drift apart.

I grew up reading Shakespeare and
looking at Monet. My eyes see the
wonders of a lifetime, beauty
they will remain.

My words speaks and so does my art.
They are my weapons of choice,
through this age to the next.
I have love for my weapons,
even in death.

    @.@!!!

    Great write dude...

I love the analogy of different forms of art being used as weapons, as it's an expression portraying ones emotions and feelings... which in turn carries a knock on effect.

May have to keep an eye on your page :)

The title is Epic! The idea is epic! The poem is a masterpiece!!!

I honestly am in love with it Rory, I loved the idea of choosing your own weapon; in your case and also in mine, all we have is words. We can create a world or destroy it by words. We can create melodies and paintings and songs with our words. We can also cause pain and sorrow with those words, but its always up to us on how we choose to use them.

    Great piece.
Into my favorites and a nomination on Monday!

Really unique. I like it :) its shows your character. Art is a better weapon than other deceitful things.
