A loving Father, Son, And Big Brother
-Rest In Peace Sweet Angel-

I wrote this poem for my ex-boyfriend who died from a car accident. We were together for two and a half years and he was the father of my son. Although we were not together at the time, I still loved him and wrote this for him. He was taken off life support at 8:56 p.m. July 12th and this is my poem to him...

So silent..
She sits there..
All dressed in black..
As she just stares..
"Babe, I'm so sorry
But I miss you.
And I feel so bad
Because I promised I'd try not to.
So as I kiss you goodbye
I'll do my damn best
to try not to cry.
I scream in pain!
This sight's too much for me!
I curse your name!
Please wake up for me!
Just one more kiss
Just one more smile
Without you here,
I'm in denial!
Skin so sweet..
Cheeks so red..
Just like the blood and tears
That I have shed
No Goodbye
No Goodbye
I promise to you
That I'll try not to cry
Same as the promise
That I made to you
When I had said
That I Loved you..."

Such a deep powerful poem. Your words flow so well, it is easy to read... Each line displays all the emotions from your heart spreading across the screen. I love how toward the beginning you were saying goodbye and then as you read on there is a clear realisation that you discovered it's not goodbye, that love runs deeper than death and although he is gone his memory continue to linger in your heart.
I found that way you finished the poem with the words of your promise so deep, strong and powerful.
This poem was so touching thanks for sharing!
