Time.

A simple imagination that sets our linning
As it numbers our days, it draws seasons
Even governs our sense of direction

"24 hours" is that all it is?
As tomorrow becames past and today a yesterday
I do but wonder, can we survive without it?!
Like the air we breath, it will aways be apart
Of our efforts, dreams and lives
After all, "Future" is to refer to
Time.

Time is a vital element in our lives and not only does it tell us the time but also dictates our lives, one way or the other!

I like this poem and the reader can hear the writer think aloud..enjoyed it. One thing though,
    this line:

Like the air we breath, it will aways be apart

Did you mean a part= it belongs to something a part of life. Whereas apart=separation. I maybe wrong but I felt that the line "like the air we breathe, it will always (by the way missing L in always) be one-a part of us.

Hope I did not confuse you...take care :)
