Falling Flakes [Tanka/ Waka]

by Rusheena   Mar 20, 2013

Falling flakes caress
my frozen, blue cheeks, stained by
blackened waterfalls.
My crimson eyes fall victim
to fatigue. The flurry wins.

*A tanka and waka are the same thing. Inspired by Baby Rainbow's title challenge*

The image I got here was someone actually being trapped in a storm somewhere. The feeling like the coldness is winning and stealing all your warmth and draining your energy. I could imagine their eyes closing and them giving up because it is so cold and tiring to battle through it.

Very powerful, and fitting to the weather right now!
