She Rocks My World

by Glenn G   Apr 1, 2013

The look on her face was one of awe
When she first put on that rock
She couldn't believe what he had just bought
She was pleasantly surprised and slightly in shock

Finally she could dawn a smile she didn't have to fake
'Cause he loved her without having to take
He touched her lips gently for a kiss he so long craved
And out of an old hidden box within her heart she gave
Something she thought she would never again give
Her love to a man with whom she would live
At that moment she buried an old hurt in a freshly dug grave
For it was no longer her burden and she no longer its slave

A new seed of love in a ground of good soil
Neither man nor time would ever spoil
The love they will soon proclaim
When she becomes his wife and takes his last name
