The Curse

by Maple Tree   Apr 1, 2013

On the edges of a twisted eve,
a mangled troll is laden down
with a thousand tears she bore
in his presence, at the bottom
of a riverbed staircase.

His devotion marked barren
for she longed to be rid of
life itself, than to grant
lips of cherry blossom
kisses to the ugly shadow
in the depth of darkness.

He castaway all thoughts
in a tragic release, plummeting
to his demise, from atop a cliff
.
.
.
spiraling
.
.
.
changing formation.

Only in death would she come
to realize the devil in the forest
was her one true love, magically
deformed by a demonic possession
of her very own judgmental
curse.

....................................................... speechless! I am serious, this is dark but intriguing, its melancholic but has a deep meaning and a lesson to be learnt in the words...

We judge too much and don't let people show their true selves before we decide on our judgement, too much is judged on looks, the past, wrongs and sins, but we don't see the good immediately and we should always see the beauty and heart in people...everyone has a good side...everyone

    than to grant
    lips of cherry blossom
    kisses to the ugly shadow
    in the depth of darkness.

^^I love this part, adding that girlish tone to it, the imagery of light pink lips fading into black ash...powerful...shows what one little judgement can change

    Awesome
