Time

Its really weird
time
when you watch the clock
it paces slower
when it's watching you
things seem to go by in a blur
Little children turn into bigger adults
bigger adults shrink into old age
people die and more are reborn
a vicous cycle we are all caught in
it tosses and turns us
a washing machine full of emotion
a dryer full of hormones
only to come out with more stains
more rips and tears
missing peices in a warped puzzle
yet the more we stay
the more confusing it gets
nothing is understood
only basic life functions are met
and we are left with the fear
the fear of what comes when we close our eye's
when we breathe for the last time
when we reach the other side
but we still cling to it
our scars and bruises show our good deeds
our minds tell of whispered wrong doings
we our picked apart by media and people yet
when it comes down to the last heartbeat
we realize just how precious it was
and we reluctantly say goodbye to our friend
time
