If the waives could listen to its own sound,
Would it, do you think, feel mad?
Mad as the little girl
Arguing with her sister
For the lost doll?

If the rain could listen to its own sound,
Would it, do you think, feel sad?
Sad as the old man
Repeating the stories
He told yesterday?

If only the night could listen to its own sound,
Would it, do you think, feel unloved?
Unloved as the man who,
Refused in bed by his wife,
Shoot himself to death?
