Grandma's fudge

by Rosez   May 5, 2013

Every Christmas without fail
Peanut butter fudge in a pail,
Even tho she could barely see
She still made her fudge for me,
It was creamy, smooth & tasted just right
You could taste her love every bite,
One day I ask, please teach it to me
I stand by her stove so that I can see,
Cream, butter and sugar she gently stirs in
I can almost taste it, so good it's a sin,
We pour it into a buttered dish
Please cool quick I wish,
So now for cooling we must wait
Soon we cut and place it on a plate,
Now the time has finally arrived
The first creamy warm bite brings it alive,
A dish of fudge she gives me to take home
She gives me the fudge recipe so it can always be known.

    Hi,

Though I think your rhymes worked and your lines were consice, I personally feel it was lacking in excitement, in both content and language.
