The Dark Room

by Jennifer Fox or Jackson   Jul 2, 2004

A haunted mystery
behind the old raged door
a timeless history
beyond the wall and the floor.

So dark and gloomy
the room before it appears
not even as roomy
as its been before these years.

Old and dusty
the floorboards tell the tale
creaking and cracking
between the locations of each rusted nail.

Fragial and thin
the curtains hang free
the color of its sin
is what they appear to be.

Locked up so long ago
the layer of dust is what it shows
never opened or walked apond
the room stays the same forever and beyond.
