I'm Sorry

by Tessa Hazzard   May 13, 2013

The rope is on the fan,
The chair on the floor,
My cold dead body hanging,
And I've locked the door.
I couldn't take the pain,
The hate or the shame,
So I left it behind,
For all the wasted time.
Mom and Dad are home now
They call for my name
Repeating it twice,
The answers not the same.
Why was I silent,
They knew I was awake,
They check on my door,
which they had to break.
When it was taken down,
The horror in their eyes,
There was her body,
Couldn't be revived.
The ambulance comes
and takes you away,
with a note in your pocket,
what does it say?
"I'm sorry for being alive,
I'm sorry for doing this,
I love you mom and dad,
I'm sorry I did this.
I love you so so much
This isn't your fault
Tell them all im sorry
Tell them very dear,
Ill love them forever,
But they didn't know the tears.
The tears that I cried,
the tears when I died,
just know that I love you
im sorry.
