Just Listen

by Tessa Hazzard   May 13, 2013

Never give up,
Never give in,
They are lying to you,
Your life is not a sin.
My friend, I ask you,
put down your razor.
Put down the gun.
Untie the rope,
Don't let this blood run.
I cannot convince you,
I can't make you see,
But I'll try my best,
not to let you bleed.
What you don't understand,
Is obvious to me,
the world is a jerk,
they won't set you free.
Suicide would not let you go,
You'd never be complete.
Part of you is screaming out,
screaming out "Help Me!"
I'm asking you now,
I'm asking you dear,
please put down the razor,
Drop the loaded gun,
untie the rope,
close up the pills,
trust me, that is not fun.
Please please please,
listen to me,
listen very closely,
put down the razor,
drop the loaded gun,
untie the rope,
these won't set you free.
