Beauty in Sadness

by TheDarkCloudBehindthePoet   May 13, 2013

I dedicate this poem here. This poem goes out to anyone who feels that a dark cloud is always above you and no matter what you do, it will always be there. Just know that there is a silver-lining. You just have to see it.

Tears running down my face, a dark cloud above me,
my vision only that of darkness, with no one there to hug me,
down in the dumps, with no one to love me,
retreating inside my cave, where no one can find me,

Thoughts echo inside my head, depression takes his set beside me,
He says, "Keep torturing yourself and barking at the moon", can no one find me,
inside my shell where every corner is black, the darkness surrounds me,
where is the light, it hasn't found me,

Weak and helpless as I sit, only depression around me,
pulling me in for a hug, saying he will always love me,
pushing me back, he says there is a silver-lining around me,
there is the light so beautiful and pure, soon it will embrace me.
