Monster

I dedicate this poem here. This poem goes out to all my brothers and sisters who's ever tried to talk to anyone about their deep dark issues. Be it cutting, addiction, etc. Anything that you think friends or family would understand and they throw it back in your face. You are not alone.

Have you ever seen a real monster, not just the ones on TV?
But an evil being, that only knows evil deeds,
Tormenting others with his problems, hoping they will understand,
Longing for acceptance, reaching out for a helping hand,

Unearthing his darkest secrets, telling you he's cut in so many different places,
But a one-eighty happens, all he sees are disgusted faces,
Cursing his name, insults arise,
This is the thanks he gets, this comes as a complete surprise,

No one wants to listen, no one cares,
They say, "That's your problem", mixed with hateful glares,
A monster he is called, everyone disappears,
A fool he feels like, for ever trusting his family and peers,

Now a soulless beast, draped in black,
No one wants to understand him, there's no looking back,
So when you see him, be aware he comes to destroy and conquer,
Because when you do, you can finally say you've seen a real monster.
