First meeting

I met you in the summer
on a warm and breezy night
I knew you werent like the others
For me it was love at first sight
Society says it's wrong but it felt so right
You smiled at me warmly, your brown eyes beaming
I woke up before you and watched you dreaming
The connection I had with you was deep
Unlike anything I have ever known
To hear you say "I love you"
And to know the words are true
Brought a smile to my soul
Our time together has ended
You didnt give me a chance to say goodbye
