Absolution

by Jenni Marie   Jun 12, 2013

Underneath your rib cage is where thy own heart resides
entangled in a mass of pulsating emotion, tendrils snaring
and daring to hope they can entwine with yours.

Passion glitters rubescent, and heat shimmers through the air
as we pirouette wildly, limbs matched in perfect symphony
feet tapping in rhythm to the piano notes only we can hear

Static carnal energy weaves between us as
we twist and turn, bodies melding into each other
in absolution

I have to get to reading all of your newest poetry! <3

I really liked the "snaring and daring" in the first stanza, and how expressive your word choice was for how this person has such lively emotion and how you feel it too...

I adore your word choice and in the second stanza, the bit about the piano notes only you can hear...such spirit!

Great piece, the energy is vividly there and I like how you connected it all with the idea of absolution... good luck with the contest!!!

Ooh I love this. It's so beautifully worded. Really sensual, I can feel so much in this.

    "limbs matched in perfect symphony
feet tapping in rhythm to the piano notes only we can hear"

^^That is so poetic, really beautiful.

    I love this!
