We Should Be

by yogi73   Jun 20, 2013

We should be the wind,
Thru the trees
caressing each leaf
gentle and light

We should be the sea,
Breaking upon a coast
subduing the rocks
ever demanding more

We should be the storm,
Raging and fierce
exciting the air
with electric currents

We should be the sun,
On the soil
bringing life to what
lies beneath

We should be lovers
and love.

A poem about love using nature's character which in turn brings out human nature of love. I like the comparisons as well as the images your words bring out..enjoyed the read :)

I quite liked this poem; short but cute. The metaphors were used really well and the structure fits perfectly with the topic of discussion. An enjoyment! :)
