Brothers

by Dawn   Jul 8, 2013

You want to play a game
broken and beaten I agree
Fist clenched tight
Until I see your knuckles turn white
We see them placing bets but pretend not to notice
Pointing it out would only cause more trouble
I put my fist up and do my best to look strong
but they all see threw me
I'm nothing but skin and bones
I know
You know
They know
So why did you ask me
Because you knew you'd win
or just because you needed another reason to hit me
Do you enjoy seeing me beaten on the ground
only an inch away from death
Does it make you feel like a man?
With bloody knuckles you stare down at me
"Look at the mess you made Little Brother," You say

Sad, but well written. If you want to talk I'm here. :)
