Rebuild my stage

by DirtRoadGirl   Jul 25, 2013

Your eyes are like water,
drowning me in the sorrows,
with emotions so raw,
my heart you slaughter.

Your trembling lips,
vibrate trough my body,
tearing a my well built stage,
the curtain falls as it rips.

Your bloody palms reach for mine,
the jagged lines,
just above the rusty red,
baring every hidden sign.

Dear reflection,
how you rebuild my stage tonight,
pull back the curtain on secrets I hide,
the true me and all my imperfection.
