Here and Now

by Liquid Grace   Jul 31, 2013

From my window seat looking out,
Natures beauty takes my breath.
Fire crackles in the background,
Burns bright the dance of death.

Mountain tops shimmer with ice,
A beautiful diamond on display.
Satin evergreens perfectly shaped,
White blankets beneath it's sway.

Chilled Waters ripple timeless lifelines,
As Reflections of the suns goodbyes fade.
Fingers tease the frosted pane,
Condensation starts it's cascade.

It's night, it's day,
My heart it yearns to stay.

It's wrong, it's right,
It doesn't matter, not tonight.

From my window seat looking in,
Natures beauty takes my breath.
Winter breaths between the cracks,
Cold as the mother of Macbeth.

Kitten purrs on it's perch,
A ruly queen of her domain.
Soft melody fills the room,
Legs twitch they can't refrain.

Feet pillowed on the window sill,
Head lays gently on the wall.
My mind calm and relaxed,
A lost feeling, I now recall.

Truly thankful for this night,
This life spoke a solemn vow.
To never forget Natures beauty,
Live for today, here and now.
