Love At First Sight

by VP Cruz   Nov 23, 2013

Her very presence, nervously excites me
Can't think or speak, what to say, if any
She walks in the room, I see her face
My heart sinks, quickens its pace

Her refulgent smile, bright as the sun
Right then I knew, she was the one
Can't collect my courage, just to approach her
Legs feel like noodles, afraid I will falter

My soul captivated, don't know the reason
Deluge of love, from just this one person
The one woman whom, I'll give my life
Does not even know, that I'm alive

If only given, the chance to meet
Seems utterly inherent, out of my league
Mien winsome strut, her face is clearer
I petrify when, she draws nearer

My heart deadens, as she walks by
Glances as if, minuscule to her eye
Leaves her scent, driving me crazy
Clouding my mind, causing a frenzy

I saw her skin, creamy as butter
Can't even speak, leaves me to mutter
I must convince her, but not be misled
Our paths will merge, I will be her bread

I must regroup, do away this tension
Have to be tact, attract her attention
Her perfect face, the way she flashes
Even makes beauty, of those ugly glasses

Must make my move, it's now or never
Can't even think, of anything clever
What I must say, shouldn't sound like a line
It's the effect, she has on my mind

Might never see her, this is your chance
She's walking away, gaining distance
Can't let her be, my whole life will ruin
Finally I stand, "Hi, how are you doing?"
