Spec of Nature

by Maple Tree   Dec 28, 2013

Brittle flakes dangle
upon rigormortis fingers,
bark ages from a limb
stretching beyond the
turquoise twinkle of
a spec that I know is
watching me..

I remain still in the beauty of silence.

I am so in love with this poem. Being a nature lover as I am. The imagery and wording you used is outstanding. My favorite line is the twilight twinkle. I can imagine that line being looking up at the sky in the night time and soaking in the beautiful stars. The last line is very good being on it's own. It's power stands on it's own. When you are in nature all you want to do is soak in it's beauty. The peace it gives a person is wonderful. Overall this is a great poem as it holds a lot of imagery in such a short message. I think we can all understand it. It's hard to make a short poem stand out but you went far beyond that here
    Well done.
