The way he..

by lillie   Jan 3, 2014

It started out innocent, something conceived by my brain.
We exchanged numbers, our hearts in the wrong lane.

It was typical of you, trying to woo me with fancy things.
Bought me sweet roses, and diamond rings.

My love cannot be bought, but god only knew.
You kept me wanting every single bit of you.

The money didn't phase me, it was your heart I desired.
I was too shy to approach you, to your heart I felt wired.

Trying to break loose, this was too hard for me to control
But I felt this urge run through me, just for you darling.

I guess they call it love? or maybe just a crush?
I kept quiet, you turned my heart to mush
