You're my Only Dream

by PorcelainMoon   Jan 4, 2014

One thousand melodies in tune,
the guitar stings emit my tears tonight.
Can't remember to breathe in the wind,
walking with this shadow.
Consciousness blows out the window like a burning cigarette,
where your home lays don't forget.
They told her she'd never walk again,
who would you stand by.

Long lost,
only son,
boy drifter,
with a loaded gun.
Forget what you know,
this world wasn't meant for us,
there never was an "us" only lust.
What is love but whispers in the night,
who are you?
You're only a dream,
you're my dream.

The guitar stings emit my tears tonight.

^ guitar stings? typo perhaps? like Guitar strings, perchance? I could be wrong.

hmmm... you have some interesting lines, and descriptive images that I like as well as mystery. I feel this piece needs something more... I'm not sure what is it.

    Nonetheless, I enjoyed it.

There is a lot of lost emotions within this write, like a soul with a lost cause. Hopelessness sits on each line...touching write.
