Retribution

I am the rooster with razors
strapped to my feet
slashing the face
of my owner.

I am the raging pit-bull
lunging at the throat
of the fight-master
heedless of his prod.

I am the arena bull
carefully avoiding
the horse while
hooking the picador.

I am the humpback
escaping explosive harpoon
while smashing the hull
of the cruel whaler.

I am the rhino
creeping into camp
and impaling
the poacher.

I am karma returning
each vicious human
to the form
of his victim.
