A New Home [Eulogy]

by Rusheena   Feb 2, 2014

Today's not a time to mourn; it's a time to celebrate.
Dewayne Kemper has gone home, and he's entered Heaven's Gates.
He was a blessing to his family, full of love, warmth, and wisdom.
Now, he will live forever, lifting his praises in the Kingdom.
So, don't cry tears of sorrow-- because he's now a new creation...
He's laid to rest at Antioch, but he's going to a new congregation.
So, let this be motivation for the soldiers of the Lord.
If you remain a faithful servant, you will receive your due reward.

*Dedicated to my cousin, mentor, and one of my biggest supporters, Dewayne Kemper*

I also enjoyed the beginning of this. I loved how you took a very sad moment and spun it around in away. Death is a time for grieving but it's also a time to celebrate I agree. It just means they live with no more pain. Your wording is great and the rhymes were wonderful. I loved the message as well. Though this person you cared for deeply has passed on you know they are safe and their memories will always be with you. bbeautiful poem and dedication. I'm gonna nominate this because it really touched my heart. 5/5

    Nice dedication,
I like the beginning, "Today's not a time to mourn;"
In this days we have to forget our all sadness.

sometimes time will turn for us.
