A Million Little Pieces

by Michael D Nalley   Feb 11, 2014

A million little pieces
are a lot of small things,
like James Frey's thesis
on what self reliance brings.
To borrow a used phrase
a title that is dirty pretty
gives glory and praise
to one whom needs pity.
Ignoring twelve steps while
in the grip of strong denial
of course that is your style
putting the almighty on trial.
A million little white lies
and help from Oprah Winfrey
have you come to realize
the truth will set you free?

I like it. Good job! But some rhymes seem forced.
