You See Me (Tanka)

by Meme   Mar 10, 2014

Not the written words
nor the songs is why you came;
you knew all along.
You lent me a shoulder to
lean on and my heart you claimed.

    In such a short poem you packed a huge punch. When we are in love a person should see us for who we really are and love us for our heart and soul. We don't need to write how we feel out or anything. Our heart always knows who we love. It must really take someone special to win a heart and it's amazing someone found you or you found someone. And again you wrote such a beautiful poem with the restrictions you gave your self.

    I agree with Andrea, your Tanka's ALWAYS rock! They flow so gracefully and hold such a strong meaning.

    This person sees you for who you truly are, they love you and allow you to lean on their shoulder when needed. The words or the songs of love isn't what caught their attention, you did and they knew all along that is what you needed.

    Beautiful!
