The same broken line

by emily mackay   Mar 27, 2014

Swallowed down within
a tender breath took one
a resentful feeling
a hurtful pain that shone
emptying a mind intact
processing thoughts of such
despair and anger
live long and live much
words scattered through lines
no dots or rhythm flow
single wearings and ruptures
still didn't even know
confused through life
or certain past parts
can we forgive & froget
can i repair my heart
through river flow & motion
may one draw the line
the same printed words
yes I'm OK I'm perfectly fine.
