A Blender, a Blender it is

by Everlasting   Mar 31, 2014

In the kitchen, a bowl so dull
with an owl in a pole, the color of coal,
like the moles in my skin - the ones you patrol
like a police man in the mall,

I stole. I stole.

Let's make a casserole
with these feelings that make us whole.
Tonight, I'm on parole. Or so I was told.
Let's stroll the kitchen floors
with our feet, with our soles.
Let's steam the night,
lets go out of control
like a troll, like a spring roll
in your tongue, like a cinnamon roll
being cut, like an egg roll in a bowl,
like the Superbowl, we are young.
Let's sing our unsung love song.

You extol my soul.

Oh I should say...What an experiment!
The experiment part makes me think...what are you experimenting with???This type of poem??A feeling??? Or some dish in the kitchen???

But truthfully, I'm suddenly falling in love with all your poems and how unique and different they are..not to forget the way you rhyme everything. It's just beautiful.

And oh lol...this line made me laugh :

"like the moles in my skin - the ones you patrol
like a police man in the mall,"

    oh, another wonderful write.

I was experimenting with the sound. With the rhythm. And if I could turn the poem into a different version of rap.

This made me smile, and I like the little rap beat that kicks in when I am reading it, I was making up a little tune to it.

The creativity is good here with the blender in the kitchen, I actually thought you were going to just write about this blender and not add anything else in, but you added in some emotion, and perhaps a love relationship.

    Nice work. Different to read.
