Daily Dose

by Chelsey   Apr 14, 2014

Though your compliments carry ingredients that make you sound sweet,
the writer inside me never allowed for sugarcoating. Your words drip with
an abundance of flavor and like anything desirable, it makes you a muse.
My muse. My reason for forfeiting sleep to tell you just how wonderfully
made you are.

I often think, if God "plants a seed", does that mean there is someone meant
for everyone to help it breathe? Because I've come to the conclusion,
you're all the oxygen I need.

They say I took my first breath in '91, but I'm not so sure. You've brought a
life out of me I didn't know was available to my being. A wake up call that wasn't only ringing in morning. But an arising of hope, of perseverance, of overcoming,
despite the hour.

I'm not asking you to be my forever, but I wouldn't need to anyways, for you've
shown me time is infinite and you're never leaving. But I will ask, that when dawn
awakens you and mirrors attempt to start your day with lies, tell your reflection
you're important, you are needed-
My daily dose of life.
