I Just Can't Leave

by VP Cruz   Apr 20, 2014

With my bags, I exit the door
I pause and think, been through this before
Will miss your breath, as if almost touching
Your arousing whispers, of sweet nothings
Your absence will bring all levels of alarms
Like who will fill my empty arms?
I feel your eyes, inundating tears
To feel we've wasted all these years
Bags still in hand, slightly turn, glance
Muse our love, deserves another chance
The sight of knowing, that I'm the envy
When other men see, you standing beside me
A dreadful thought, in my mind that swarms
The sight of you, in another man's arms
As I turn entirely, acknowledge my decision
Run to my arms, without apprehension
Times like this, as memory jogs
I cherish your almost suffocating hugs
While in my arms, just there
Will surely miss, the smell of your hair
Your lips of luscious, crimson red
I just can't leave, knowing fully, I'll regret
