My Angel

by Theresa Ford   Apr 22, 2014

As I sit and wonder about this day.
I kneel to God and begin to pray.
Help me dear Father, when the pain is so great
To understand his destiny was not mine to orchestrate.

You let me enjoy him and make memories.
Then you took him to heaven to abide with Thee.
So I'll accept your doing and acknowledge your plan.

For I must be someone special to have held a true
live Angel, in my hands.

Love how you rhymed great with orchestrate, but I was especially impressed by the last 4 lines and how you split them up. I didn't notice the rhymes in them, but they were there creating smoothness and flow. That's the goal, right? Good write.

I enjoyed it and can relate to the feelings.
Perhaps the critic commenting above needs some age on him to understand.

The first two lines were good, i loved the rhymes

"As I sit and wonder about this day.
I kneel to God and begin to pray."

but from then on, it was a little bumpy!
but you got the writing skills in you
