No Name #3

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Aug 6, 2014

I used to watch her from afar,
Admiring the bounce of her curly dark hair
And well...her breasts, also
She didn't exactly know me, she knew of me
She knew I used to live adjacent to her building
She knew my little sister she used to babysit
But she didn't know my endearment for her

Her voice was soft and sweet when she first said, "Hello"
I knew my heart had found its savior after all
Then her routine started changing, and her company had, too
This man was holding her hand, innocently groping her while
Caressing his lips against hers

I knew who he was, I knew of his reputation
I knew every foolish thing he had done,
Every game he had supposedly won,
Every woman his whispers had seduced to come,
And every heart broken and left for dead

Not with the love of my life
I won't ever allow him to rob her of her childhood,
He can't satisfy her like I know I can

She'll see...
